Our Story

KABON's journey began in 2012 in Huizhou, China — one of the world's most advanced manufacturing hubs. Our founders, a team of passionate cyclists and carbon fiber engineers, started by manufacturing OEM carbon frames for leading international bicycle brands. For years, our frames carried other names — but the engineering, the precision, and the quality were always ours.

After four years of perfecting our craft and producing carbon frames for brands across Europe, North America, and Asia, we asked ourselves a simple question: why not build our own?

In 2016, KABON was born — a fusion of "Carbon" and "Kaboom," representing the explosive potential we saw in bringing professional-grade carbon fiber directly to riders, without the middleman markup. Today, KABON is one of the few companies in the world that designs, engineers, and manufactures its own carbon fiber folding bikes from start to finish.

Our Factory

Our manufacturing facility in Huizhou houses the complete production chain — from raw carbon fiber layup to finished bicycle. Every KABON frame goes through a rigorous multi-stage process:

1. Carbon Fiber Layup — Each frame is hand-laid using aerospace-grade Toray T800 carbon fiber. Our engineers precisely control the fiber orientation and resin ratio to achieve the optimal balance of stiffness, strength, and weight.

2. Precision Molding — Frames are cured under controlled temperature and pressure in our proprietary molds, ensuring consistent quality across every single unit.

3. CNC Machining & Finishing — Critical contact points are CNC-machined to exact tolerances. Each frame receives multiple rounds of sanding, priming, and finishing for a flawless surface.

4. Quality Testing — Every frame undergoes fatigue testing, impact testing, and load testing that exceeds international safety standards. We don't sample-test — we test every single frame.
